Bowie, Md. – The Bowie State women's volleyball team will close out the 2021 season with a road trip to Virginia State Monday, Nov. 8 for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) contest. First serve is slated for 6 p.m. at the VSU Multipurpose Center.
Bowie State is 5-17 overall and 3-10 in the CIAA while Virginia State stands 14-9 overall and 12-3 in the league. Both teams are coming off a win in their last outing, BSU defeated Lincoln (PA), 3-1 (25-21, 18-25, 25-19, 25-23) on Thursday (Nov. 4) for senior day. VSU defeated Virginia Union, 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-15) on the road.
Monday's tilt will be the second meeting between Bowie State and Virginia State. The Trojans have won the last 10 meetings against the Bulldogs, including a 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-10) back on Sept. 23 in Bowie, Md.
The match will offer a live broadcast on the CIAA Sports Network.
