BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State men's basketball will host their first Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) conference game for the 2021 portion of the schedule against Johnson C. Smith University on Tuesday, Dec. 14th at 7:30 p.m. inside A.C. Jordan Arena.

Bowie State Athletics announced that there will be no fans, spectators or media allowed for the next two home men's and women's basketball games.
Last Time Out
Bowie State (1-8) is coming off a 39-47 loss to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) member Shippensburg on Sunday. The Bulldogs had a tough shooting night, shooting just 28-percent from the field (16-56).
Sophomore Ayan Teel (Bowie, MD) led the team offensively with nine points and four rebounds, while junior Keith Duffin, Jr. (Fort Meade, MD) had a team-high of seven rebounds to go along with seven points.
Scouting Johnson C. Smith
Johnson C. Smith is coming off a 98-94 win against Bluefield State last Saturday. The Golden Bulls had four players score in double figures, led by Augustine Ominu led with 29 points and 17 rebounds. So far on the season, the Golden Bulls average 77.8 points per game compared to their opponents 83.1 points per game. JCSU is 3-5 overall and 1-4 on the road this season.
The Series
The Bulldogs and Golden Bulls will meet for the 21st time since 2009. In the last outing BSU claimed an 80-77 victory during the 2019-2020 season. Bowie State is 6-2 against the Golden Bulls in A.C. Jordan Arena.

On Thursday Dec. 16, Bowie State will continue conference play against Livingstone (Dec. 16), followed by a tilt with Winston-Salem State on Dec. 20.
