BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State men's basketball team looks to close out the 2021 portion of the schedule Thursday, Dec. 30 when the Bulldogs welcome Bloomfield to A.C. Jordan Arena for its final non-conference game at home. The Bulldogs will resume conference action on Jan. 6.

Bowie State
BSU (2-8) has not competed since Dec. 14 when the Bulldogs defeated Johnson C. Smith, 75-60 in their conference opener but due to COVID-19 protocols, Bowie State had to postpone matchups against Livingstone and Winston-Salem State originally scheduled on Dec. 16 and Dec. 20. Junior Quinton Drayton (Bowie, MD) leads the team in scoring averaging 12.7 points per game, while graduate senior Tyler Jones (Pleasantville, NJ) is averaging 10.9 points and a team-best 4.0 rebounds per contest.
The Series
Bowie State is 0-2 against Bloomfield with only two meetings occurring in 2017 and 2018 as of recent. The last outing was held in Bowie, Md., with the Bulldogs falling 75-71 back on Nov. 17.
About Bloomfield
The Bears (2-7) are also coming off a win in their last outing, defeating Molloy back on Dec. 18, 73-62 in Bloomfield, NJ. Tyrek Battle-Holley is the team's leading scorer averaging 12.0 points and a team-best 5.8 rebounds per outing.
Next Up
The Bulldogs will visit regionally-ranked West Liberty for its non-conference finale on Jan. 3 at 4 p.m.
