BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State women's volleyball team fell in straight-sets to the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State, 3-0 Thursday evening inside A.C. Jordan Arena. The Bulldogs fell by the scores of 25-12, 25-22 and 25-14 to the Lady Vikings.
Bowie State dips to 8-9 overall and 4-6 in the CIAA while ECSU remains undefeated in the league with an 11-0 mark and 18-7 overall.
For the game, Bowie State hit .069 from the floor tallying 20 kills on 87 total attacks. Meanwhile ECSU accounted for 48 kills on 116 total attacks and a hitting percentage of .207.
Graduate seniors Jailyn Ivey (Bowie, MD) and Kendal Hoges (West Orange, NJ) both finished with six kills apiece while junior Lindsey Grossman (Albany, OR) and sophomore Dayanna Robb (Glen Dale, MD) registered a career-high 10 digs.
Bowie State will return to action Monday, Oct. 17 against Lincoln (PA) in CIAA action. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. in A.C. Jordan Arena.
