BOWIE, Md. – Bowie State football will close out the 2022 season at Bulldog Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) contest and senior day. The game will be aired live on the Bulldog Sports Network.

Game tickets are available here. General admission is $25 with youth age 5 and under FREE. Invited groups of 20 for ages 10-16 is FREE with a paid adult ticket however should be approved by Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation, Clyde Doughty, Jr. in advance.
Game Promotions
Senior Day – Bowie State Athletics will recognize 10 football student-athletes (Dion Golatt, Jr., Kharee Lockley, Quinton Bobo, Quindonte Bobo, Ellison Jordan, Joshua Pryor, Morgan Scroggins, Mark Murphy, Tyron Ferguson and Kareem Prass) and two student-athletes (Agi Mboob and Frederick Eiland, II) from the men's and women's cross country team prior to kickoff.
The Series
Saturday's game marks the 13th meeting between the two teams. Bowie State owns a 12-0 all-time record against Lincoln (PA) dating back to 2008. The Bulldogs are 6-0 against the Lions on the road and 6-0 at Bulldog Stadium. BSU won the last matchup against LUPA, 31-7 on Oct. 30, 2021 in Lincoln, Pa.
Last Timeout for Bowie State
Redshirt junior wide receiver Kwincy Hall (Washington, D.C.) shined by registering 139-yards in kick returns including his longest at 88-yards for the games winning touchdown with a minute left in regulation to lift the Bowie State football team past Elizabeth City State, 36- 29 Saturday at Roebuck Stadium. For the contest, Hall tallied three kickoff returns for an average of 46.3 yards while finishing with four punt returns for 101 yards. Graduate senior quarterback Dion Golatt, Jr. (Largo, MD) was 12-for-22 in pass completions for 261 yards and a TD while redshirt junior Keshane Hinckley (Laurel, MD) grabbed four receptions for 60-yards and redshirt sophomore receiver Kyle Parker (Bowie, MD) caught two passes for 99-yards and a TD. Redshirt sophomore running back Sam Doku (Silver Springs, MD) tacked nine carries for 21-yards and TD.
Redshirt sophomore defensive back Keith Williams (Baltimore, MD) led the Bulldogs defense with 10 tackles, followed by redshirt sophomore Kennypride Toh (Silver Spring, MD) with nine tackles and a pair of tackle for losses. Both redshirt senior defensive lineman Joshua Pryor (Baltimore, MD) and redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Shawan Lewis (Baltimore, MD) added seven tackles apiece as Lewis was the lone Bulldog with a sack on the afternoon.
CIAA Football Weekly Honors
Four Bowie State football student-athletes garnered Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Player of the Week honors announced by the league office Monday. This is the most the nods the Bulldogs have had this season after defeating Elizabeth City State last weekend in its road finale. Kamrin Porter (Upper Marlboro, MD) was named Offensive Lineman of the Week, Golatt, Jr. was named the Quarterback of the Week, Parker tabbed Receiver of the Week and Hall was voted Special Teams Player of the Week.
Golatt, Jr. Leads the Attack through the Air
Golatt, Jr. has been the number one quarterback for Bowie State this season. He has 2,416 passing yards which ranks 12th in DII with 14 TDs on 187 completions. He leads the CIAA in passing yardage, second in passing TDs and third in passing efficiency (140.7). Bowie State is second in the CIAA with 3,830 yards of total offense including 2629 through the air with pass completions on 306 attempts. BSU ranks 33th in DII for total offense (421.1 ypg) and 30 offensive TDs.
The Targets
The Bulldogs receiving unit has been led by Hinckley who has 50 receptions (1st in CIAA) for 607 yards (2nd in CIAA) and three touchdowns – he is second amongst the CIAA with a 5.6 average per game receptions. Hall is right behind Hinckley with 461 receiving yards on 40 catches and three TDs as well. Hall ranks third in the league for receptions and receptions per outing, fourth in the CIAA for total yards and fifth in averages per game (51.2).
Bulldogs Top Defenders
BSU's top tackler is Sadiq Salawu (Upper Marlboro, MD) with 42 tackles, five tackle for losses, four breakups and a forced fumble. Williams has a team second-best 41 tackles, 1.5 tackle for losses, three breakups and three interceptions
The Sack Mob
Ellison Jordan (Upper Marlboro, MD) leads Bowie State in total sacks with 8.0 (50 yards) on the year. He ranks second in the CIAA while Uvel Paul, Jr. (Severn, MD) is third in the CIAA for total sacks with 6.5 total on the year, which is second best on the Bulldogs squad.
The Northern Division
Chowan is currently in first place in the Northern Division with a 4-0 mark while #15 Virginia Union holds second place at 3-1. Should Chowan defeat Elizabeth City State, the will be crowned as division champions and advance to the CIAA Championship. Both Virginia State and Bowie State are tied for third place in the North with a 2-2 record. Lincoln (PA) has not won a division game this season, sitting in sixth place (0-4)
The Polls
Bowie State has been unranked nationally since Week 3's loss to Shaw (17-13) within the American Football Coaches Association Poll (AFCA) Division II – the Bulldogs recently fell out of the BOXTOROW Media Poll with the loss to Virginia Union but was voted No. 10 on the HBCU DII Coaches Poll powered by BOXTOROW.
Scouting the Lions
Three players had double digits in total tackles for Lincoln (PA) featuring Jahad Green (14), Mike Johnson (12) and Jesse Jackson (11) but the Lions were held scoreless in the fourth quarter as Virginia State held a 15-0 scoring advantage to secure the win. Isaiah Freeman was 16-of-39 for 204 yards and a TD; he also had eight carries for 72 yards and two TDs on the ground. The Lions rank ninth in scoring (17.0) and ninth in defense, allowing 30.2 points per game. LUPA does have a third ranking in the CIAA for offensive efficiency (127.1), fourth in the league for punts, averaging 9.5 and field goals (.600) on 3-of-5 attempts.
