BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State men's basketball team will continue its road skip on Saturday, Dec. 17 when the Bulldogs travel to Johnson C. Smith for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) division tilt at 4 p.m. from Brayboy Gymnasium.

Last Time Out
Bowie State (3-9, 1-0 CIAA) held Livingstone (4-5, 0-1 CIAA) to just 7.1-percent from 3-point range in a 1-for-14 shooting performance on the way to a 75-73 overtime win. The victory snapped a six-game losing skid for the Bulldogs who hadn't won since Nov. 21. Junior

Scouting the Bulldogs
This season Bradshaw has continued to lead the Bulldogs in scoring, averaging 14.6 points per game. He also leads the team in 3-point shooting (44-percent) which is a CIAA's best. Junior
Joel Webb (Forestville, MD) is the team's top rebounder (4.5 rbg) while sophomore
Elijah Rantin (Baltimore, MD) is the Bulldogs top blocker (0.8).
Last Time against Johnson C. Smith
The last time Bowie State and Johnson C. Smith last met was on Dec. 14, 2021 in Bowie, Md. The Bulldogs had defeated the Golden Bulls, 75-60 behind 50-percent shooting from the field, including 47-percent (7-15) 3-point field goals and connecting on 16-of-26 shots from the free throws.
Entering Saturday's contest, Bowie State has won two-straight over JCSU but the Bulldogs are 3-4 on the road against JCSU. Since 2009, BSU owns a 12-9 record over Johnson C. Smith.
A Look at the Golden Bulls
Johnson C. Smith is 4-5 overall and 3-0 at home. Saturday's game will be the conference opener for JCSU who last competed on Dec. 14, defeating Bluefield State, 100-95 inside Brayboy Gymnasium. Ezekiel Cannedy leads the team in scoring (15.6 ppg), field goal percentage (50-percent) and 3-point field goal goals (24). Javon Floyd averages a team-high 6.8 rebounds and blocks (0.7). The Golden Bulls post 76.2 points per game while holding its opponents to 75.1 per outing which ranks fifth and ninth in the CIAA, respectively.
Upcoming Schedule
Following Saturday's game and before the holiday break, Bowie State will end its road trip at Winston-Salem State on Monday, Dec. 19 for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
