BALTIMORE, Md. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) officially announced the 2022 CIAA Men's and Women's Tournament bracket on Sunday and Bowie State men's basketball enter the tournament as the No. 10 seed.
The Bulldogs will open play in CIAA Tournament Tuesday, Feb. 22 against Elizabeth City State (14-12), the No. 7 seed at 8:50 p.m. at the Royal Farms Arena. The game along with all 22 games will broadcast live on ESPN+. Radio coverage will be provided by Heritage Sports Radio (HSRN) and can be found HERE.
Bowie State and Elizabeth City State split the regular season series. The Bulldogs won 71-68 in Bowie, Md., on Jan. 29, which marked BSU's head coach Darrell Brooks 200th career win – becoming the most winningest coach in program history. However, in the rematch, the Vikings grabbed a double-digit win (68-55) victory over BSU on Feb. 19.
Should Bowie State advance, the Bulldogs will face the No. 2 Virginia Union on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 8:50 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
