BOWIE, MD -- Following its five-set victory over Lincoln (PA), the Bowie State University women's volleyball team hits the road one final time this season, as the Bulldogs travel to Virginia State for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Northern Division matchup.
While the Trojans are looking to complete teh season sweep over the Bulldogs, Bowie State is seeking revenge over Virginia State from its match with them earlier this season.

The Series
Thursday's meeting will mark the second for both teams. Bowie State has lost its last 28 matches to the Virginia State, a skid that spans from 2008 to present. The Bulldogs have never won a match in Ettrick. BSU suffered a 3-1 defeat by the hands of VSU back on Sept. 25 for its home opener.Â

Tristynn Kerr finished with 10 digs to lead them defensively. The Trojans were led by De'Mya Robinson and Amaya Cooper with 11 kills apiece. Peyton Reese finished with 20 assists and both Gabrielle Bradley and Najlaa Williams contributed 10 digs apiece.The Trojans were responsible for hitting percentage of .274 to go along with 48 kills on 113 total attacks while BSU accounted for .085, 34 kills on 106 attacks.

With a win over Virginia State and a loss for Virginia Union against Elizabeth City State - that scenario could potentially earn a bid for the Bulldogs to make the CIAA women's volleyball tournament, something that has never happened in program history.Â
