Bulldogs Fall 77-59 to Lincoln (PA)

BOWIE, MD -- The Bowie State men's basketball team got a 23-point performance from the bench, but fell 77-59 to the Lincoln (PA) Lions at home Saturday inside A.C. Jordan Arena for Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Northern Division action.

The Bulldogs (6-13, 1-7 CIAA, 0-1 North) had three players score in double figures, led by Warren Mouganda, who had 11 points. Kevon Corley tacked on 10 points and Caleb Johnson chipped in as well with 10 points, four assists and five steals.

Led by Amare Wimbush's two offensive rebounds, BSU did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 13 boards that resulted in eight second chance points.

How It Happened
BSU struggled out of the gate, falling behind 31-25 heading into halftime.

Lincoln (PA) (8-10, 4-4 CIAA, 1-0 North) kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 64-42 advantage before Bowie State went on a 10-0 run, finished off by Joel Webb's jumper, to shrink the deficit to 64-52 with 2:57 to go in the contest. Lincoln (PA) responded and outscored the Bulldogs the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 77-59. BSU took care of business in the paint, recording 20 of its 34 points in the lane.
