BOWIE, MD --The Bowie State women's volleyball team will travel to Petersburg Va., on Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Oct. 27 to compete in it's second and final Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round-Up of the season inside the VSU Multipurpose Center. The Bulldogs will take on the Southern Division foes beginning with Claflin University on Saturday at 3 p.m., followed by Winston-Salem State and Johnson C. Smith on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Last Timeout for the Bulldogs
 Bowie State (6-15, 3-6 CIAA) snapped a two game losing streak this past Monday sweeping CIAA foe the Lincoln University (PA) Lady Lions in three sets 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-17). Nina Edwards led the Bulldogs with seven kills, while finishing with a hitting percentage of .455. Additionally, Taylor Johnson anchored the defense recording 13 digs in the win.
A Look at the Panthers
 Claflin (1-12, 1-10 CIAA) are currently on a five-game losing skid. The Lady Panthers lost it's last outing at home against CIAA foe Winston-Salem State in four sets 3-1 (25-16, 25-13, 25-23, 25-15) on Oct. 23. Taylin Johnson led the Lady Panthers with nine kills, while Siri Davis recorded 17 assists. Defensively, Jadah Rasool finished with a season-high 19 digs and Anaya Wofford recorded three blocks in the loss this past Wednesday. CU leaders are Davis who leads the team in the following: assist (124), aces (13), and blocks (13). Coleman controls the offense with 51 kills and Lewis has 150 digs on the season.
A Look at the RamsÂ
 Winston-Salem State (8-8, 5-3 CIAA) enters the round-up on a four-game winning streak as the Rams defeated Claflin in four sets 3-1 (25-16, 25-13, 25-23, 25-15) on Oct. 23. Lexis Tatum led the Rams with eight kills, while Jordan Johnson posted a season-high with three aces and 10 digs. To add on, Brooke Norwood contributed with 21 assist and on the defensive end Kamiyah Wilson had six blocks in the win this past Wednesday. Jewel Pitt was selected CIAA Defensive Player of the Week this past Tuesday. WSSU ranks second in the league with digs averaging 15.30 per game.
A Look at the Golden BullsÂ
Johnson C. Smith enters this weekend's round-up 4-9 overall record and 1-8 mark in CIAA action. The Golden Bulls won at home sweeping Claflin 3-0 (25-22, 25-7, 25-12) on Oct. 21. Eliana Moultrie led JCSU with 14 kills, while Destiny Burgess recorded a season-high 14 assist and five digs. Yasmine Cannon added three aces, one block, and eight assist. Additionally, Monique Reid finished defensively with seven digs in the win this past Monday. Johnson C. Smith is third in the league with 1.97 aces per game.

The Bulldogs will travel to Millersville, Pa., on Tuesday, Oct. 29 for a non-conference match against Millersville at 7 p.m. inside the Pucillo Gymnasium.
