Five Bulldogs Score in Double Figures in Bowie State's 88-82 loss to Felician

BOWIE, MD --Five Bulldogs scored in double figures, but Bowie State fell to the Felician Golden Falcons 88-82 at home Saturday afternoon inside A.C. Jordan Arena.

The Bulldogs (2-2) had five players score in double figures, led by Kevon Corley, who had 20 points. Justin Morrisey tacked on 13 points and Warren Mouganda helped out with 13 points and two steals.

Bowie State did a great job taking care of the basketball, dishing out 15 assists while turning the ball over six times. Elijah Davis' six assists were the most for the Bulldogs. Caleb Johnson also contributed with four assists of his own.

The Bowie State defense caused its share of mistakes in Saturday's game, forcing 14 Felician turnovers while committing six. Those takeaways turned into eight points on the offensive end of the floor. Mouganda led the way individually for the Bulldogs with two steals.

How It Happened
BSU struggled out of the gate, falling behind 46-39 heading into halftime.

After intermission, Bowie State kept the Golden Falcons from increasing their lead before going on a 5-0 run to shrink the deficit to 49-47 with 17:22 to go in the contest. Felician responded and outscored the Bulldogs the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 88-82. Bowie State got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for 14 of its 43 total points.
