BOWIE, MD --Elijah Davis knocked down a buzzer-beating shot with only two seconds left on the clock to lead the Bowie State men's basketball team past the Frostburg State Bobcats 68-67 at home Tuesday afternoon inside A.C. Jordan Arena.
The Bulldogs (3-2) had two players score in double figures, led by Warren Mouganda, who had 18 points. Joseph Allen added 13 points, six rebounds and two blocks off the bench and Victory Naboya added eight points and eight rebounds.
Bowie State out-rebounded Frostburg State 38-32 in Tuesday's game, led by Naboya's eight boards. The Bulldogs also collected 10 offensive rebounds and scored 11 second-chance points.
The Bulldogs did a great job disrupting the Bobcats' shots in the contest, coming away with six blocks. Allen's two rejections led the way individually for  BSU.
How It Happened
After falling behind 22-16, Bowie State went on an 8-0 run with 5:39 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Naboya, to take a 24-22 lead. The Bulldogs then surrendered that lead and entered halftime down 29-28.
Frostburg State kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 56-54 advantage before Bowie State went on a 5-0 run, finished off by Caleb Johnson's layup, to seize a 59-56 lead with 3:34 to go in the contest. The Bobcats narrowed the margin somewhat before the game was over, but the Bulldogs still held on for the 68-67 win. Bowie State took care of business in the paint, recording 26 of its 40 points in the lane.

Bowie State will travel across the Midwest to Colorado to face Colorado Mesa University and Fort Lewis College to continue their non-conference slate on Friday, Nov. 22 and 23, at 7:30 p.m. from Brownson Arena in Grand Junction, Co. This will be the first time the Bulldogs will face the two Colorado-based programs.
