CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced its 2024 All-CIAA Teams on Friday with 10 Bowie State players earning recognition on the annual squads recognizing the conference's best. Bowie State is highlighted by the Offensive Rookie of the Year in

Robinson tacked on 763 rushing yards on 118 carries and five TD's for 2024. His longest rush was for 57 yards against Elizabeth City State (11/2). Additionally, he racked up career-high's in rushing yards (181) vs. ECSU, rushing TDs (4) vs. ECSU, receptions yards (58) vs. B-State, receiving TD (2) vs. B-State. He has led the Bulldogs rushing game this season and ranks second in the CIAA for rushing average (6.0).
A native of Cherry Hill, NJ, Achuff was a captain of the Bulldogs football team and anchor of the offensive line that owned 1,863 rushing yards and 18 TD's this season for BSU. The Bulldogs offense was third in the CIAA, averaging 29.4 points per game, fourth in the league for 2-point conversions and second for 176.3 rushing yards per game.Â
Salawu, a native of Upper Marlboro, Md., led the Bulldogs defense in tackles this season with 93 total which was a conference second best to go along with 6.5 TFL (29 yds), 1.5 sacks (21 yds) and two passes defended. His best game was against nationally ranked Lenoir Rhyne in which he posted 15 tackles including nine solo and a QB hurry.
Towler led the Bulldogs receiving unit in his freshman debut, appearing in eight games with 25 receptions, 554 yards and five TD's this season. His longest reception was 65 yards vs. Fayetteville State and his most receptions yards in a game this season was against Virginia Union at 106 yards. TheÂ
Washington, D.C., native is fourth in the CIAA for average catch (22.4) and average yards per game (56.0).
Zavala ranked second in the CIAA for punts inside the 20 (12) while he has a conference long of 59 yards for a punt this season with an average of 41.8 which is second in the CIAA. The Bowie, Md., native punted 32 times for 1,332 yards with a long of 69, 13 inside the 20 and (3) 50+. He recorded 36 kickoffs for 1,910 yards (53.1), (6) FC's and just two touchbacks.Â
As for Waller, Jr., the Baltimore, Md., native was second in the CIAA for punt returns (8.8 average) and posted the longest punt return this season at 41 yards (1st in CIAA). Additionally, Waller, Jr. combined for five receptions, 32 yards and TD this season. Lastly, he posted one kick return for 29 yards while picked up 10 punt returns for 98 yards and an average of 9.8 returns and 14.0 per game.
Leading off the Rookie Team was Coleman appeared in 10 games this season, charting 11 punts for 354 yards including a long of 51 yards (32.2), three FC's, five I20 and one 50+. Additionally, the Arnold, Md., native recorded one kickoff for 45 yards. Through 10 games, Coleman is 4-7 in field goals with a long of 41 yards (57-percent). The most field goals he made in a game this season was two against Bluefield State.Â
Behind breakout freshman Robinson, Jones appeared in 10 games, rushing for 291 yards on 56 carries and six TDs. Jones season highs include rushing yards (62) vs. Bluefield State, longest rush (25) vs. Bluefield State, reception yards (10) and longest reception (8 yds) against Virginia Union.
Taylor has appeared in all 10 games, including nine starts for Bowie State as a redshirt freshman at the QB position. He completed 138 passes for 1,478 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Waldorf, Md., native rushed 78 times for 194 yards and three TD's. He posted career-highs in the following: rushing yards (47) vs. Livingstone, (19) longest rush vs. Bluefield State, (200 passing yards) vs. Fayetteville State, (3) passing TD's vs. Bluefield State and his longest pass of 65 yards against Fayetteville State. Taylor is fifth in the CIAA for TD's (13) and percentage (56.2). He has earned CIAA Rookie of the Week twice this season.
