The Series
In the previous meeting between Bowie State and Washington Adventist, the Bulldogs won 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-22). Sunday's match up will be just the 18th time the two programs will meet since 2011 as the Bulldogs own a 17-0 record against the Shock.

Bowie State (1-5) lost this past Friday in the home opener against Goldey-Beacom. The Lightning won 3-1 (24-26,25,20,12-25,21-25). Taylor Johnson recorded a team-high 11 kills, while Iman Wright recorded eight kills and two blocks. Additionally, Trinity Loundmon recorded a team-high 18 assist in the season opener loss against Goldey-Beacom.
A Look at the Shock
A member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Washington Adventist enters Sunday's match with a 2-1 record, after falling to Notre Dame Maryland 3-1 (12-25,20-25,25-22,9-25) on Sep.10. Samiah Gross finished with 11 kills and three aces, while Lynell White recorded 10 assists and five kills. To add on, Ariyanna Gross defensively had 13 digs and six kills in the lost this past Tuesday.

Bowie State will travel on Friday, Sep 20-21 to Charleston, WV, for the Charleston Tournament. The Bulldogs will take on University of Charleston and D'Youville University at 12 p.m.and 5 p.m.on Friday, (Sep.20), followed by Bloomsburg and Seton Hill on Saturday (Sep.21) at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
