BOWIE, MD --The Bowie State women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win (26-24, 25-17, 25-8) Sunday evening at the MBK Gymnasium.The non-conference win improved the Bulldogs record to 2-5 overall and the Shock drops to 2-2 on the year.
Madyson Brinson lead the Bulldogs offensively with six kills and two assist, while Nina Edwards record five digs and one block. Defensively, Bracey Gross recorded eight digs and one assist and Jaide Holliday finished with two blocks.

» Melisa Anacius,Trinity Loundmon, and Marissa Robinson Gross all recorded a hitting percentage of 1.000.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Bulldogs opened up an early one set to none lead, winning the first set 26-24. Bowie State never trailed by more than five points and made a comeback to grabbed the victory 26-24.
SET 2 | Bowie State won the second set 25-17 grabbing a 2-0 lead. The Bulldogs never trailed by more than two points in the set to secure the victory. Bowie State had a six point lead at 22-16 before finishing off the set. The Bowie State offense also got a boost from five service aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Bowie State took set three to sweep the match. The Bulldogs won the set 25-8. Bowie State largest lead in the set was 19 points at 24-5 in a set. The Bowie State offense also got a boost from seven service aces in the stanza.

Bowie State will travel on Friday, Sep 20-21 to Charleston, WV, for the Charleston Tournament. The Bulldogs will take on University of Charleston and D'Youville University at 12 p.m.and 5 p.m.on Friday, (Sep.20), followed by Bloomsburg and Seton Hill on Saturday (Sep.21) at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
