WASHINGTON, D.C. – Bowie State women's tennis (1-2) secured a 5-2 victory over Trinity (DC) (0-1) in a non-conference match Thursday afternoon at the Trinity Tennis Court.
The duo of Torrienne Emery and Kayla Lowery delivered a commanding 6-2 victory at the No. 1 doubles spot, while Tamia Byrom and Nakari Blunt matched their performance with a 6-2 win at No. 2.
Emery topped her opponent at No. 1 spot with a 6-3, 6-0 win, while Lowery cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2. Blunt was solid at No. 3, securing a 6-1, 6-1 win, and Byrom rounded out the singles play with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at No. 4.
