WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --- The Bowie State women's club flag football team launched its inaugural season with a strong showing at Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round-Up #1, earning a 2-1-1 record across four competitive games held Wednesday, Mar. 5 and Thursday, Mar. 6 hosted by Winston-Salem State University.
The Bulldogs opened the inaugural season with back-to-back victories, defeating Bluefield State University 12-6 and edging out Fayetteville State University 13-12 in a thrilling contest. On Thursday, BSU battled hard but fell 2-0 to Claflin University before closing out the tournament with a scoreless tie against Livingstone College.
