GLENVILLE, W.V. — Bowie State softball team (0-6) dropped a 5–0 decision to host Glenville State
on Friday, Feb. 20, in day one action of the Sue Morris Complex Classic in Glenville, W.Va.
The Bulldogs were held to five hits as GSU pitcher Kylie Burdic struck out 14 in a complete-game shutout. The Lady Pioneers scored twice in the first inning, added single runs in the fourth and fifth, and pushed across an unearned run in the seventh to close out the scoring.
Aaliyah Amos went the distance for BSU, pitching seven innings and allowing nine hits and five runs, four earned, with three walks and one strikeout. She faced 31 batters and recorded 17 outs on balls in play.
Mikayla Amos doubled and walked to lead the Bulldogs, while
Lisa Frias added a hit.
