BOWIE, MD — Bowie State softball student-athlete
Taylor Dawkins has been named to the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Softball Team, as announced by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) on Monday.
Dawkins also earned First Team All-CIAA honors at utility after serving as the centerpiece of the Bulldogs' offense throughout the 2026 season.
A native of Ridgely, Md., Dawkins started 37 of 40 games and led the Bulldogs with a .413 batting average. She recorded 52 hits, eight doubles, two triples, and eight home runs while driving in a team-high 40 RBIs and scoring 32 runs. She posted a .698 slugging percentage and a .460 on-base percentage while going 11-for-13 in stolen base attempts.
The junior helped lead Bowie State to a perfect 16-0 CIAA record and a 24-21 overall finish. She provided consistent production throughout the lineup while also contributing defensively at multiple positions.
One of the most productive hitters in the CIAA, Dawkins finished among the region's top utility players and was one of just five CIAA student-athletes to earn All-Region recognition.
