BOWIE, MD — Bowie State University head volleyball coach Edric Poitier has announced the Bulldogs' 2026 schedule, a 21-match slate highlighted by a competitive non-conference schedule, two Round-Up events and the 47th Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Volleyball Championship.

Bowie State opens its preseason with scrimmages against Carroll Community College on Aug. 18 in Westminster, Md., and Delaware State on Aug. 22 at A.C. Jordan Arena before hosting its annual Alumni Game on Aug. 26.

The Bulldogs will officially begin competition at the Fairmont State Classic, hosted by Fairmont State University in Fairmont, W.V., on Aug. 28-29. BSU will face tournament host Fairmont State, East Stroudsburg, Anderson (S.C.) and Lees-McRae during the two-day event.

Following a road matchup at Norfolk State on Sept. 15, the Bulldogs open CIAA play with three consecutive home contests against Virginia State (Sept. 21), Elizabeth City State (Sept. 24) and Virginia Union (Sept. 28).

Conference action continues with the first CIAA Round-Up, hosted by the Winston-Salem State University, Oct. 2-4 in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Bulldogs return to league play on the road at Shaw on Oct. 8 before visiting Elizabeth City State on Oct. 12.

The second CIAA Round-Up will be hosted by the Virginia State University, Oct. 16-18 in Petersburg, Va. BSU concludes its regular season with matches against Millersville, Lincoln (PA), Shaw, Virginia Union and Virginia State.

The Bulldogs close the regular season on Nov. 5 at Virginia State before turning their attention to postseason play.

The 47th CIAA Women's Volleyball Championship is scheduled for Nov. 8-10 in Rocky Mount, N.C., where teams will compete for the conference title and an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championship.
