Coach L. Anthony Bagley brings a wealth of experience, energy and knowledge to his first season with the Bulldogs football program.   Bagley was raised in Prince George’s County and graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School.  Upon graduating from high school, he attended Bowie State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 1993. 

Prior to coming to Bowie State University, Coach Bagley served as a defensive assistant coach for five years at DeMatha Catholic High School where he was a member of the coaching staff that won back to back championships in 2013 and 2014.  While at DeMatha  Catholic he coached several players that went on to earn All WCAC honors as well as earning college scholarships. He also coached for one year at Bowie High School as the defensive backs coach.

In addition to coaching at DeMatha Catholic, Coach Bagley has also served as the defensive coordinator for the DC Generals semi-professional football team for the past 3 seasons.  During his tenure as defensive coordinator the Generals have played for 2 National Championships (2012 and 2014), and his defensive units have been ranked in the top 5 nationally in points per game allowed, rushing yards per game allowed and total yards per game allowed.  
 
Coach Bagley who resides in Bowie, Maryland is also the managing partner for an accounting firm here in Prince George’s County.

He is married to Sandra Bagley and they have four children, James, who is also a Bowie State University graduate, Anthony, Bria and Taylor.
