Douglas McNeil, III

Douglas McNeil III begins his third season as the wide receiver coach for the Bulldogs. 

Under McNeil, III's guidance - Keshane Hinckley was named Second Team All-CIAA in 2022 and currently on this year's 2023 Black College Football Hall of Fame Watchlist. Additionally, there were two Bulldogs named the CIAA Reciever of the Week in 2022.

Prior to his return to Bowie State, McNeil spent the 2020 season at Concordia Preparatory school in Towson, Md., as the wide receiver coach. Due to COVID-19, Concordia’s season was cut short as they finished 2-1 in the MIAA-B conference. Additionally, McNeil took over as the kickoff return coach where his team scored on their only kickoff return of the season.

Before coaching, McNeil had a decorated eight year professional playing career with multiple professional leagues including the Portland Thunder (AFL 2014), Denver Broncos (NFL 2015), Seattle Seahawks (NFL 2015-16), BC Lions (CFL 2017), Washington Valor (AFL 2018-19), Baltimore Brigade (AFL 2019), Albany Empire (AFL 2019) and the Wild Aces (FCF 2021).

McNeil earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Public Relations from Bowie State in 2014.
