Rasheda Spratley is in her 11th year as the equipment manager of the Bowie State University football program. She began her career as a student equipment manager with the Bulldogs football team in 2008 and has grown in her career to handle not only equipment but operations and travel for the program. In June of 2017 Ms. Spratley passed the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) Certification Exam. In addition to working with the football team she is also the Director of Operations for the Women’s Basketball team.
Spratley is an alumna of Bowie State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development, and a certification in Project Management. During her undergraduate years, she was a part of the Golden Girls cheerleading team and a member of the 2006 Outdoor Track and Field CIAA Championship team.
With all of the work she does at Bowie State, Ms. Spratley still finds time to serve in the community. She is currently the volunteer assistant cheerleading coach at Achievement Prep Academy in South East, Washington D.C. In her spare time she enjoys liturgical dancing at her church, Community of Hope AME, reading and writing.
