Raul Alleyne enters his 6th season as Wide Receivers coach for the Bulldogs program. In his first season 2011, Alleyne coached former Bulldogs standout James Proctor who broke the school single season reception record. In 2012, Coach Alleyne helped guide former Bulldog Douglas McNeil to All-CIAA Second Team honors, a feat which hadn’t been done since 2005 by Glenn Thomas. McNeil is currently with the Seattle Seahawks. Last season 2014, Coach Alleyne coached Kerrick Pollock to CIAA All-Rookie team honors.
 
Prior to joining the Bowie State staff, Alleyne coached the wide receivers at Grant High School (Portland, Oregon) 2008-10. During his three years at Grant High, he coached current San Francisco 49er Kenneth Acker. Together they helped guide the team to three consecutive playoff appearances and one city title in a four year span.
 
Before his stint at Grant High School, Coach Alleyne served as The Sports Performance Director of Velocity Sports Performance, under the tutelage of World Class Speed coach Loren Seagrave. He also taught NIKE SPARQ clinics at The University of Oregon under the direction of current Nike Global Athletic Trainer, Matt James.
 
Before Alleyne’s coaching career began, Coach Alleyne served as the Urban Director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). During his time with FCA he assisted FCA Team Chaplain to the Portland Trail Blazers, hosted Coaches Prayer Breakfasts’ which served over 100 city wide coaches, as well as led Team Bible Studies and summer camps serving over 200 college and high school athletes.
 
Alleyne played collegiately at Grambling State University, under current Washington Redskins Personnel Executive & Super Bowl XXII MVP Doug Williams of the Washington Redskins. Alleyne and his wife Catrice have three children Imahni, a junior track & field athlete at Howard University, Jaylin and Gabriel. They reside in Alexandria, VA.
