INSIDE GAME MAKES DIFFERENCE IN BSU LADY BULLDOGS 80-69 VICTORY OVER ST. PAUL'S

(LAWRENCEVILLE, Va.) St. Paul's College had no answer to Bowie State University's strong inside game as BSU's Lady Bulldogs cruise to an 80-69 victory. The win, Bowie State's third straight, improves the Lady Bulldogs to 3-2 overall and 3-0 in the CIAA.

The long ball kept St. Paul's close in the first half as the Lady Tigers connected on four-of-nine behind the 3-point line only to trail 40-37 at halftime. Bowie State's Bianca Lee (Temple Hills, MD, Archbishop Carroll) knocked down 10 of the Lady Bulldogs 17 first half field goals. Tatiana Ellis had the hot hand for St. Paul's, leading her team in the first half with 13 points, which included three-of-seven behind the arc.

Bowie State scored 60 points in the paint and 24 points off 24 St. Paul's turnovers. Lee tied her career-high of 27 points and Teaunsha Robinson (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore Polytechnic) added 18 points to pace Bowie State. Denisha Kenion (Ft. Washington, MD, Oxon Hill) served up a double-double for Bowie State, scoring 12 points and collected a team and BSU career high 10 rebounds. Denita Hill (Baltimore, MD, St. Frances Academy) wrapped up BSU's double figure scorers, tallying 11 points which included five-of-six from the free throw line.

St. Paul's (2-2 / 0-1 CIAA) was led by Ellis with 17 points and Allukesha Guy along with Brittany Christian hauled down a game-high 11 rebounds each. Guy also scored in double figures, recording 11 points in the loss.

Bowie State will break for Thanksgiving and will not return to action until Saturday, December 6th against the Morgan State Lady Bears. Game time in Morgan State's Hill Fieldhouse is 2 p.m.
