(HAMPTON, Va.)  The 2009 Women's Defensive Player of the Year is Denisha Kenion (Ft. Washington, MD, Oxon Hill, University of Virginia) of the Bowie State University.  Kenion ranks 29th nationally in steals and 1st in the CIAA with 3.12 steals per game and 84 total steals through games of february 17th.
