LADY BULLDOGS WOLLOP LIVINGSTONE 25-0 AND 21-0

(SALISBURY, N.C.) It was a game of opposites, as the two-time defending CIAA Champions of Bowie State University wallop Livingstone College 25-0 and 21-0 in conference softball action. The wins improve Bowie State to 4-0 in the CIAA (5-3 overall) and drops Livingstone to 0-4 in the CIAA (0-8 overall). 

Junior Faline Brown (Inwood, W.Va., Hagerstown C.C.) pitched a perfect game on the opener, striking out seven and helped herself at the plate, going 2-for-3 and recorded four RBI.  Fellow junior Kelley Alexander (Damascus, Md., Covenant Life, Montgomery College) went 3-for-3 in game one.  Bowie State roughed up Livingstone pitching for 18 hits.

In game two, senior Heather Enders (Glen Burnie, MD, Old Mill) also recorded a perfect game, fanning nine Lady Blue Bears.  As a team BSU's Lady Bulldogs scattered 14 hits in the nightcap.

Bowie State's Lady Bulldogs continue their southern swing with a doubleheader at Fayetteville State University tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
