BOWIE STATE RANKS EIGHTH IN LATEST HSRN POLL

(HARTLY, Del.) – After Saturday's thrilling 31-24 double overtime victory over Shaw, Bowie State cracks their first poll of the season, coming in eighth.  Albany State (4-0) is in the number one position in the Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) Division II Top-10 poll. The Top-10 poll is selected each week during the season by the HSRN staff and writers, ranking NCAA Division II teams.

After four weeks at number one, Shaw was upset 31-24 (2OT) by Bowie State, which opened the door for the unbeaten Golden Rams of Albany State who moved into the number one spot. Tuskegee moved to number two after holding off Kentucky State in overtime (35-28). Shaw is at number three followed by Elizabeth City State at four and Langston at five. Morehouse was off last week and held on at number six and Miles moved up to number seven after their 6-0 defensive win over last week's number seven Clark Atlanta. Bowie State moved into the Top-10 at number eight, Clark Atlanta is ninth and Virginia State is at number 10 after their 25-20 upset win over Fayetteville State.
