just under five minutes elapsed. The first half featured seven lead changes and three ties. The last tie occurred at the 4:06 mark with the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Blue Bears knotted at 25-25.

The visiting Lady Bulldogs took a 29-25 advantage into halftime shooting 29 percent from the floor (nine-of-31) and converted nine-of-14 free throws (64 percent). Bowie State held a 22-19 rebound advantage in the first period of play. Taylor and junior Teaunsha Robinson (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore Polytechnic) led BSU in first half scoring with seven points each.

Livingstone's Rashida Elbourne led the home team in first half scoring with seven points on three-of-five shooting. Of the 19 first half rebounds for the Lady Blue Bears, Brittany Wright was responsible for seven. As a team, Livingstone hit 11-of-27 first half field goals (41 percent) but made one-of-three from the charity stripe.

The first five minutes of the second period were ugly to say the least as the two teams combined for a total of four points. Livingstone's largest deficit of the game (49-40) happened with 4:08 left to play. The Lady Blue Bears could have trailed by a lot more because of their poor field goal shooting. Livingstone's field goal shooting percentage dipped to 21 percent in the second half with the home team making just nine-of-44 field goal attempts. Livingstone also struggled from the free throw, converting only four-of 14 for the entire game.

In addition to Elbourne's seven points, Kayler McBride and Cassaundra Rhodes also tallied a team-high seven points to lead Livingstone.
