(BOWIE, Md.)  Bowie State University pushed Division I Hampton University to extra innings before dropping a tough 15-10 decision.  Bowie State pulls their season record even at 10-10.

Hampton totalled 18 hits in the slugfest which included a team-high three hits each for Sharde' Estep, Kelsie Saunders, Jada Jeffries and Adrinna Scott.  Scott led the Lady Pirates with four RBI and Jeffries along with Sydni Benton added three RBI each.

Bowie State freshman

(Waldorf, MD, Delaware State Univ.) and sophomore Shanae Smoot (Bel Alton, Md., LaPlata) added a pair of hits each.  Tabor paced BSU's Lady Bulldogs with four RBI.

As a team, Bowie State pounded out 12 hits but committed six errors.  Hampton was not imune from the error bug, committing six of their own.

Bowie State will play Virginia Union in game four of the Lady Bulldogs Classic later today (March 20).
