(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.)  The Lady Bulldogs volleyball team can't seem to catch a break, dropping a tough five set match to Shaw University on the final day of the CIAA Round-Up (Part 2).  Bowie State University lost by scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 17-25 and 9-15.

 Freshman Kassondra Greis led the Bowie State attack, putting down a team-high 10 kills and added 21 assists, one service ace, eight digs and one block assist.  Other top players for BSU's Lady Bulldogs include sophomore Jasmine Nixon (eight kills, one service ace and 14 digs) and freshman Briana Flowers along with senior JaTyra Heath with four kills each.  Heath led Bowie State with 15 digs.

Sharetta Riggins paced the Shaw Lady Bears with a game-high 19 kills to go along with 14 digs.

Bowie State returns to action - Tuesday, September 21st, hosting Shepherd (W.Va.) University at 6 p.m. in the A.C. Jordan Arena.
