(SALISBURY, N.C.) Bowie State University shot a season-low 37 percent from the free throw line, resulting in a 64-60 road loss at Livingstone College.

Bowie State struggled from the charity stripe in the first 20 minutes, hitting only seven-of-20 free throws and committed 12 turnovers.

Chanita Jordan (Philadelphia, PA, University City, North Carolina State) (eight points and seven rebounds) popped a short jumper and junior
Juliette Turner (Atlanta, GA, John F. Kennedy) followed with an easy layup and a 45-42 Bowie State lead, forcing Livingstone to call a timeout.
Livingstone (8-3, 3-1 CIAA) answered with a 22-15 run to close out the game and the win for the Lady Blue Bears. Livingstone College was led by Gilliam-Washington and Brittany Wright with 13 and 12 points respectively and Cassaundra Rhodes chipped in 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
Turner paced the Lady Bulldogs with a career-high 16 points and a team-high nine rebounds before fouling out late in the contest. Robinson was the only other Bowie State player to score in double figures adding 13 points.
Bowie State (7-5, 3-2 CIAA) held a 54-44 rebound advantage over Livingstone.
BSU's Lady Bulldogs travel 45 minutes from the Livingstone campus to face the red hot Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith – Thursday (January 20) in Charlotte. Tip time in JCSU's Brayboy Gymnasium is 5:30 pm.
