(BOWIE, Md.) Bowie State University and Washington Adventist University were scheduled to play a doubleheader, but rain forced game two to be called at the end of the second inning. BSU's Lady Bulldogs defeated The Shock 9-1 in game one. 

The Lady Bulldogs cranked out 13 hits with freshman Renelle Traylor (Hayward, CA, San Lorenzo) leading the way with three. Traylor went three-for-three, scored two runs and added two RBI. Senior Danielle McClay (Silver Spring, MD, Montgomery Blair), sophomore Amanda Ray (Damascus, MD, Damascus, Mount St. Mary's) and freshmen Adria Lewis (Cumberland, MD, Fort Hill) and Kiara Washington (Bowie, MD, Bowie) tallied a pair of hits each in the win.

BSU Freshman Mariela Hernandez (Del Rio, TX, Los Fresnos) pitched the complete game, striking out three.

Washington Adventist (4-7) recorded four hits but committed three errors. Erin Wright, Meagan Hess, Jordan Harmon and Rebecca Lee were responsible for all the Lady Shock hits.

Bowie State (13-13) is scheduled to host a conference doubleheader versus Virginia State University – Saturday (April 9) at 1 pm.
