(BOWIE, Md.)  Andrew “A.C.” Jordan, Teacher, Coach and Athletic Director at Bowie State College, now known as Bowie State University passed on Monday May 16, 2011, in Lexington, Va.

Mr. Jordan was very instrumental in bringing football back to Bowie State along with making sure that we had a strong athletic program, including competitive sports for women. The facility in which Bowie State volleyball and basketball intercollegiate athletics competes in, was named (A.C. Jordan Arena) in his honor in 1991.
