Box Score 2 (ELIZABETH CITY, N.C.) Bowie State University dropped its first divisional game of the season but managed a split against Elizabeth City State University. The Lady Vikings stunned the Lady Bulldogs 3-2 in game one, snapping a four-game Bowie State win streak. Bowie State rallied late in game two to capture a 5-3 victory. Sophomore
Adria Lewis went 5-for-8 on the afternoon to pace the Lady Bulldogs.
Bowie State held a 2-0 advantage through four innings in game one only to see Elizabeth City State tie the score at 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Lady Bulldogs went down in order in the top of the seventh, setting the table for the Lady Vikings to claim victory. ECSU's Christen Pelton hit a leadoff double and Raneka Thompson followed with a single up the middle, advancing Pelton to third. Tynesha Jackson stepped to the plate and hit an infield single, plating the winning run.
Elizabeth City State took a 2-0 lead in the first inning of game two. Bowie State put together a four-hit, three run third inning to take a 3-2 advantage.

Justine Smith hit a leadoff single followed by back-to-back-to-back singles freshman

Amanda Ray. Ray's single pushed Smith across the plate. Sophomore
Haley Snyder reached on a fielder's choice and moved to second on an error. That error allowed Ray and Lewis to score.
The Lady Vikings plated one in the fourth inning on a solo home run by Kristen Cochran to knot the nightcap at 3-3.
Bowie State's Lewis led off the top of the seventh inning with a double down the left field line.
Shelby Snyder doubled to center field, scoring Lewis. Freshman
Raenelle Taylor hit a sacrifice fly to right, scoring Snyder from third and gave the Lady Bulldogs a 5-3 lead.
Shelby Snyder (6-2) pitched the final inning and two-thirds in relief of freshman Haley Flint. Flint struck out three in five and third innings and Snyder struck out four.
Lewis led Bowie State in game two with three hits and the duo of Clayborne and Smith tallied a pair of hits each.
Bowie State will close out the conference portion of their schedule with a doubleheader divisional clash at Chowan University on Sunday (April 15th) beginning at noon.
