BOWIE, Md. – The CIAA Northern Division leading Lady Trojans of Virginia State University were too strong for Bowie State as the Lady Bulldogs fall 9-0.  The loss sets the Lady Bulldogs record at 6-7 overall, 5-7 CIAA and 3-5 in the North.

The Lady Bulldogs lost 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 through 4 Singles and 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 and 6 Singles. Virginia State blanked Bowie State 8-0 in all three doubles matches and improved their record to 12-1 overall, 9-1 CIAA and 8-0 in the North.

Bowie State University travels to Richmond (Va.) on Tuesday (4/9) to take on Virginia Union at 10 am followed by a 3 pm neutral site contest against Southern Division leading Shaw University. The Lady Bulldogs close out the home portion of the schedule Wednesday (April 10th) against the Lady Eagles of Coppin State University at 2 pm.
