Andre Jackson (Owings Mills, Md.) scored 17 of his game-high 20 points in the second half to pace Bowie State's Bulldogs to a 63-60 victory against the Lincoln Lions before a jam packed A.C. Jordan Arena and national television audience.
PHOTOS The win improves the Bulldogs CIAA North record to 5-1 in the North, 6-6 in the conference and 12-11 overall. This win also marked the fifth straight for division leading Bowie State.

Ray Gatling (Oxon Hill, Md.) added 15 points and fellow senior
Carlos Smith (Baltimore, Md.) tallied 10 points and a personal career-best five blocks for the Bulldogs.
Three Lions reached double-figure scoring led by Timothy McKenzie's (Central Islip, N.Y.) career-high 16 points and 14 rebounds. Justin Jackson (Baltimore, Md.) and Derrick Washington (Washington, D.C.) contributed 10 points each in the loss.
Lincoln (15-6, 7-5 CIAA, 3-3 North) held Bowie State to 36 percent shooting from the field in the first half. The Lions shot 46.2 percent from the field over the first 20 minutes which included just 1-of-8 first half beyond the arc.
The Bowie State bench took over in the second half outscoring Lincoln's bench 23-12. Shooting improved in the second half for the Bulldogs, making 11-of-23 (47.8 percent), which included 5-of-9 behind the 3-point line. Of BSU's five, second half triples, Jackson knocked down 4-of-6.
Justin Jackson gave the Lions their largest lead of the afternoon at 39-31 with a 13:28 left. Bowie State stormed back on an 11-0 run over the next two minutes to tie the game at 39. Lincoln held their final lead (46-45) at the 9:19 mark following a McKenzie layup.
The Bulldogs found some much needed offense over the next eight minutes to build a seven point advantage (61-54) with just over a minute remaining in the game after a pair of free throws by junior
Zafir Williams (Philadelphia, Pa.).
Back-to-back layups by George Jackson (Baltimore, Md.) and McKenzie cut the Bowie State lead to 62-58 with 30 seconds to go in the contest.
Bowie State's Jackson converted a free throw for a five point lead, but a Justin Jackson layup with 20 ticks remaining trimmed the Bulldogs lead down to 63-60. However, Lincoln missed a last second three-pointer as Bowie State held on for a close 63-60 victory.
The Lions out-rebounded the Bulldogs 46-30, which included 20 boards on the offensive end. Lincoln also held advantages in points in the paint (32-24), points off turnovers (15-8) and second chance points (15-7).
The Bulldogs welcome the Panthers of Virginia Union to the A.C. Jordan Arena on Wednesday (February 12th). Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm as part of a doubleheader with the Lady Bulldogs.
