Box Score 2 BOWIE, Md. - The Virginia Union Lady Panthers snuck two softball wins past Bowie State on Thursday afternoon, edging the Lady Bulldogs 3-2 and 4-3 in a CIAA divisional matchup. The loss dips the Lady Bulldogs record to 5-21 overall, 4-9 in the CIAA and 1-7 in the division.

was inserted as a runner for Windsor, promptly stole third and scored on a throwing error by the VUU catcher to trim the Bowie State deficit to 4-3.
Virginia Union missed an opportunity to score in the 5th inning, stranding three. BSU's Windsor gave up back-to-back singles and walked Chiles to load the bases with no outs.

Ashley Cook relieved Windsor of her pitching duties and returned Hernandez to the circle at the point. Hernandez calmly struck out the next three VUU batters.
The Lady Bulldogs missed scoring opportunities on the bases in the 6th and 7th innings and the Lady Panthers defense held again in the nightcap for the 4-3 victory.
Bowie State travels to The Lincoln University on Saturday (4/5) for a CIAA North doubleheader clash with the Lady Lions. Game time is scheduled for 12 pm.
