BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie State University women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches to visiting Virginia State University 8-1 and 8-1 on Thursday afternoon in CIAA Northern Division play. The Lady Bulldogs fall to 4-6 on the season with the setback and post a 4-6 conference mark. PHOTOS
 
Virginia State claimed all three doubles in the first match by scores of 8-1, 8-0 and 8-0 at Number 1,2 and 3 respectively. The Lady Trojans took Number 1-5 singles but Bowie State sophomore Rahwa Habtemariam (Lanham, Md.) defeated VSU's Jessica Smith 8-4 at Number 6 singles 
 
Virginia State made quick work of Bowie State in match two only defaulting to the Lady Bulldogs at Number 6 singles. 

Bowie State returns to the courts on Sunday (4/6) in a makeup match against Fayetteville State University at 1 pm in Richmond, Va.
