Bowie, Md. - The Bowie State University volleyball team dropped their second straight match on Monday night, falling 3-0 to the Lady Panthers of Virginia Union University. The Lady Bulldogs dip to 5-14 overall, 2-6 in the CIAA and 0-5 within the division. Virginia Union snapped a two-match slide and pull their season mark even at 7-7 and improve to 5-2 in conference play and 3-1 in the CIAA North.
PHOTOS The Lady Panthers came from behind and won set one 25-22, took set two 25-14 and closed the night out with a score of 25-17 in the deciding set.

Valerie Taylor (Walkersville, Md.) led the team in kills with six while juniors
Jasmine Ashe (Baltimore, Md.) and
Breiona Garrison (Baltimore, Md.) tallied four kills each in the setback.
Junior
Adrielle Brisbon (Fort Washington, Md.) and redshirt senior
Marissa Martinez (Albuquerque, N.M.) recorded double-digit digs with 11 and 10 respectively.
VUU's Ambryanna Moore (Elgin, S.C.) had nine kills while teammate Fernanda Faustino (Sao Paula, Brazil) had eight kills in the match. Virginia Union's Nicole Logan (Richmond, Va.) had a team-high eight digs in the match.
The Lady Bulldogs welcome the Virginia State University Trojans to the A.C. Jordan Arena on Thursday (October 15th) for a 6 p.m. CIAA Northern Division matchup.
