Lakewood, N.J. – The visiting Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Georgian Court University on Saturday (10/24) afternoon, falling by scores of 6-25, 11-25 and 20-25. With the setback, the Bowie State overall record goes to 6-18 while Georgian Court improves to 16-11.
Junior
Breiona Garrison (Baltimore, Md.) and sophomore
Valerie Taylor (Walkersville, Md.) led the Lady Bulldogs with four and three kills respectively on a combined 24 attacks. Junior
Adrielle Brisbon (Fort Washington, Md.) led Bowie State in assists with five while fellow junior
Amy Harvey (Laurel, Md.) added four assists.
Seniors
Yaje Ngundam (Bowie, Md.) and
Marissa Martinez (Albuquerque, N.M.) paced the Lady Bulldogs on defense with 12 and 10 digs respectively.
Georgian Court was led by Jessica Sipili with eight total kills. Kelsey Oliver delivered 35 assists in this match while Cruz De La Rosa and Jessica Pedroza contributed 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday (October 27th) hosting Cheyney University of Pennsylvania at 7 p.m. This match has been designated as Play for Kay (Pink Day).
