RALEIGH, N.C. – Bowie State University had a tough time against Fayetteville State University volleyball on Saturday (10/1) evening, losing in straight sets by scores of 25-4, 25-9 and 25-7.
The Bulldogs were held to just eight kills the entire match with senior
Breiona Garrison (Baltimore, Md.) accounting for five while senior
Amy Harvey (Laurel, Md.), junior
Tia Williams (Abingdon, Md.) and freshman
Brianna Myers (Jessup, Md.) adding one kill each. Harvey led Bowie State with five assists and junior
Kelisha Perry (Baltimore, Md.) tallied a team-high eight digs in loss.
Samira Luis had a double-double of 13 kills and 12 digs against for the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State (7-3, 5-2 CIAA). Raven Ousley-Brown chipped in 11 kills and Nia Bell produced 12 digs and six kills. Nakia McKinnie dished out a match-high 30 assists in the sweep.
Bowie State (2-9, 1-7 CIAA) concludes the weekend Round-Up with an 11 a.m. match versus Shaw University.
