MURFREESBORO, N.C. / ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. - The Bowie State University volleyball dropped a pair of CIAA Northern Division matches on Sunday, falling 3-0 at Chowan University and 3-1 at Elizabeth City State University. The losses drop the Bowie State overall season record to 3-16, 1-13 in conference play and 1-7 within the division.
 
Senior 
Breiona Garrison (Baltimore, Md.) and junior 
Tia Williams (Abingdon, Md.) paced the Lady Bulldogs with 19 and 10 kills respectively over the doubleheader. Freshmen 
Jada Mccullough (Baltimore, Md.) and 
Brianna Myers (Jessup, Md.) tallied three kills apiece while senior 
Amy Harvey (Laurel, Md.) and junior 
Kelisha Perry (Baltimore, Md.) added one kill each in the losses.
 
Harvey led the team in set assists with 23 in two matches to go along with seven service aces, nine digs and one block assist. Garrison, Perry and freshman teammate 
Jordan Smith (Columbia, Md.) recorded double-digit digs picking up 14, 13 and 10 respectively.
 
The Lady Bulldogs return home for Senior Night on Tuesday (October 18th), hosting Cheyney University at 7 p.m. in the A.C. Jordan Arena.
