RALEIGH, N.C. - Bowie State University's women's tennis will face Virginia State University in the opening match of the CIAA Women's Tennis Championship Tournament at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 28th, weather permitting.

Bowie State is led by senior Amber Peters at #1 singles, and the Lady Bulldogs enter the tournament as the #6 seed in the Northern Division. Virginia State is the #3 seed in the Northern Divison.

Should the Lady Bulldogs win, they will then face either Shaw University or Virginia Union University on Friday, April 29th.

Bowie State finished the regular season with a 9-7 overall record, and lost to Virginia State 4-5 on March 13th in Petersburg and 2-7 on April 22nd at Bowie.
