ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. - The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team dealt Bowie State University a 3-0 (15-25, 17-25, 14-25) setback on Monday night at the R.L. Vaughan Center.
 
Bowie State (0-11, 0-6 CIAA, 0-3 North)) struggled most of the match, ending the evening with a team attack percentage of minus .088.
 
BSU's senior 
Kiana Moore (Newark, Del.) led the way with four kills while freshman 
Bianca Tucker (Edgewood, Md.) contributed seven assists. Junior 
Courtney Crawford (Lanham, Md.) along with freshman 
Caitland Okorafor (Hyattsville, Md.) tallied three kills apiece. Junior 
Brittainy Houck (Burns, Ore.) tied for match-high dig honors with nine for the Bulldogs.
 
Elizabeth City State (2-6, 2-4 CIAA, 2-1 North) was paced by Auzheure' Jackson with a team-high four kills to go along with one assist, two digs and one block assist. The Lady Vikings foursome of Nikuale Singleton, Jahera Dangerfield, Lauren Burgess and Elizabeth Cagle tallied three kills each. Burgess also chipped in a match-high 10 assists and added four service aces and nine digs.
 
Bowie State will step out of the conference for its next match on Thursday (September 28), making a trip over to Shepherdstown, W.Va. to face Shepherd University at 7 p.m.
