BOWIE, Md. - Bowie State University volleyball sent its lone senior
Kilana Jenkins (Bridgeport, Conn.) out on a high note as the Bulldogs defeated Washington Adventist 3-1 on Tuesday evening in the A.C. Jordan Arena. The Bulldogs win by set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 25-17 and 25-10 on Senior Night and improves its record to 3-18.
Freshman
Madison Marshall (Albany, N.Y.) paced Bowie State offensively with a match-high 11 digs on 25 attacks to go along with eight digs on defense. Junior
Shalom Omo-Osagie (Baltimore, Md.) recorded seven kills and added three service aces and three digs while sophomores
Soljala Jones (Washington, D.C.) and
Chelsea Beaudoin (Upper Marlboro, Md.) tallied a half dozen kills each.Sophomore
Bianca Tucker (Edgewood, Md.) was responsible for 27 of Bowie State;s 34 assists and contributed five kills, two service aces, five digs and a pair of block assists.
Washington Adventist (4-13) had just 18 kills on 92 attacks with Jerusha Corbett leading the Shock with nine kills on 20 attacks to go along with seven digs. D'Shanee Blake was the leading Washington Adventist defensive player with eight digs and the Shock duo of Cristal Salazar and Dasia Legette chipped in six digs apiece in the loss.
Bowie State will conclude its season on Friday (November 2nd) at Lincoln (Pa.) University with first serve set for 6:30 p.m.
