BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie State University women's volleyball team lost 3-1 (17-25, 25-23, 10-25 and 18-25) on Sunday to Elizabeth City State University in the A.C. Jordan Arena.

The loss drops the Bulldogs' record to 1-9 overall, 0-7 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) matches and 0-3 in the Northern Division. The Vikings earn their second win of the season and improve to 2-13 overall, 2-8 in league play and 2-1 in the North.

Sophomore
Oladia Menchaca (Landover, Md.) led the Bulldogs with 11 kills while fellow sophomore
Soljala Jones (Washington, D.C.) and junior
Shalom Omo-Osagie (Baltimore, Md.) added five and four kills respectively for Bowie State. Junior
Bianca Tucker (Edgewood, Md.) was responsible for 17 of Bowie State's 19 assists to go along with two kills and eight digs. Freshman
Madison Marshall (Albany, N.Y.) paced Bowie State on defense with 11 digs.

Kaylee Williams (Woodside, Del.) led the Vikings with nine kills while Jahera Dangerfield (Jacksonville, N.C.) added six. Williams also led the team in service aces with four Dangerfield along with Alexis Blackwell (Raeford, N.C.) picked up a match-high 12 digs each.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Monday when they travel to Virginia Union University for a 6 p.m. match time in Barco Stevens Hall.
