RICHMOND, Va. -The Bowie State University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 road decision on Monday (10/14) night at conference foe Virginia Union University, losing by scores of 22-25, 16-25 and 16-25 in CIAA Northern Division action. The Bulldogs dropped to 3-12 overall, 1-6 in league play and 1-1 in the North.

Junior
Soljala Jones (Washington, D.C.) paced Bowie State with seven kills on the night while sophomore
Madison Marshall (Albany, N.Y.)) added six kills and senior
Alana Matson (Baltimore, Md.) chipped in with four kills. Junior
Oladia Menchaca (Landover, Md.) had a team-high 11 assists to go along with three kills while freshman
Neysha Washington (Winchester, Va.) along with Karen Diaz-Avilez (Washington, D.C.) recorded 19 and 10 digs respectively.

Essence Poteat led the Virginia Union Lady Panthers (5-8, 5-1 CIAA, 2-0 North) with a match-high 11 kills on 31 attacks and added seven digs. Kamryn Young and Alayah Walker were responsible for eight kills each on a combined 54 attacks. A'rmaria Wright and Jamaica Adams contributed match-highs of 28 assists and 24 digs respectively in the sweep of the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs had a .036 attack percentage for the match compared to .186 for the Lady Panthers.
