Kyaja Williams (Baltimore, Md.) scored a game-high 21 points while recording a new career-high 17 rebounds with fellow senior
Dynaisha Christian (Pocomoke, Md.) tallying 14 points and seven rebounds in the Bulldogs easy 67-37 home victory over the Claflin Lady Panthers. The win raised Bowie State's record to 9-0 while Claflin falls to 0-9.

As a team, Bowie State shot 37.1 percent (22-of-69) from the floor while holding the Lady Panthers to shooting just 28.6 percent (14-of-49) from the floor. Dionna Long was the only bright spot for the Lady Panthers scoring a team-high 20 points and added five rebounds.
The Bulldogs looked good early when they jumped out to a 14-4 after a deep ball from senior
Amel Duggins (Largo, Md.) with 5:26 left in the first period. After holding on to their lead, the Bulldogs allowed Claflin to get within 16-9 after a Long 3-pointer at 1:49. BSU's Bulldogs led the Lady Panthers 20-11 at the end of the quarter.
The second quarter belonged to the Bulldogs. The team opened up the period by going on an 11-0 run before Long snapped the scoring drought at 2:11. Once in control, the Bulldogs never looked back. BSU held a double-digit lead for the remainder of the half and pulled away from Claflin. The team went ahead by as many as 20 points, 34-14 with 1:13 to go.
In the second half, the Bulldogs continued to dominate. The team never had to fend off the Lady Panthers attack while pushing their lead to 41-23 after Williams's layup with 4:12 remaining. The Bulldogs allowed four unanswered points to the Lady Panthers to take a 46-28 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the early fourth period, the Bulldogs went on a rampage scoring the first 11 points and stretching its lead to 59-28 after Williams knocked down another jumper. Long once again stopped the bleeding after hitting a jumper. From there, the team never let up and only gave up seven points the remaining 5:30 of the game. A layup by senior Leah Whitehead (Odenton, Md.) gave Bowie State its largest lead of the game at 67-37 with 1:29.
Bowie State will return to action on Monday (12/16) when they host Livingstone College at 5:30 p.m. This will be second game of the season between the Bulldogs and Lady Blue Bears and is a designated non-conference game.
