INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Bowie State University women's basketball program will make its second straight appearance in the NCAA Division II Championships as the Bulldogs have been named the sixth seed in the Atlantic Region, announced Sunday night. Bowie State will square off against No. 3 Indiana (Pa.) in the opening round. The Atlantic Region tournament will be hosted by top seed Glenville (W.Va.) State with the first round set to get underway Friday, March 15.

First round matchups and seeds include: No. 1 Glenville (W.Va.) State vs. No. 8 West Liberty (W.Va.), No. 4 California (Pa.) vs. No. 5 Charleston (W.Va.), No. 2 Virginia Union vs. No. 7 Edinboro (Pa.) and No. 3 IUP vs. No. 6 Bowie State.
All four first round games will be played on Friday, March 15, with the semifinals the following evening on March 16. The Atlantic Region Championship will be played on Monday, March 18, with the winner advancing to the Elite 8 in Columbus, Ohio.
